Where the TikTok watermark comes from
TikTok keeps two copies of most videos. The one its own Save video button gives you has the moving TikTok logo and the username burned in. The one it streams in the app does not. DropVid asks for the streamed copy, at the best quality TikTok has, often 1080p.
What DropVid cannot remove is anything the creator put in the picture themselves, such as their own name or a logo they added while editing.
Instagram, Facebook and the rest
Instagram and Facebook do not stamp a watermark on the files they serve, and DropVid adds nothing, so what you save looks exactly like what you watched. A Reel that was first made on TikTok and then posted to Instagram may still carry the TikTok logo, because it is part of that video's picture.
Reposting
Removing a watermark does not change who owns the video. Ask the creator before you post their video anywhere, and credit them.
